Modi G Kirana ("we", "us", "our") operates a mobile application that allows customers in Nokha, Bikaner, Rajasthan to order groceries and household essentials for local delivery. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Modi G Kirana does not operate a website or web app for placing orders — orders are placed only through our mobile application, and this website is for information purposes only.

By downloading, registering on, or using the Modi G Kirana app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to operate the app and fulfil your orders:

Account information: your name, mobile number, and delivery address(es) provided when you register or place an order.
Order information: items ordered, order value, order history, and any delivery instructions or notes you add.
Communication data: messages exchanged with our support team via call or WhatsApp, including the WhatsApp number used for QR-code payment coordination.
Device & usage information: basic technical information such as device type, app version, and general usage patterns within the app, used to improve performance and fix issues.
Location information: your delivery address and, where permitted, approximate location, used only to confirm that you are within our current service area (Nokha, Bikaner) and to enable accurate delivery.

We do not collect or store any online payment information such as card numbers, UPI PINs, net-banking credentials or wallet balances, because Modi G Kirana does not process online payments. All payments are made directly between you and our delivery personnel via Cash on Delivery or by scanning a WhatsApp QR code with your own UPI app.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Process, confirm and deliver your orders to the correct address.
Communicate with you about order status, delivery updates, or issues with your order.
Provide customer support and respond to your queries.
Improve our catalog, app experience, and local delivery operations.
Detect and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or repeated cancellation behaviour.
Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:

Delivery personnel: your name, address and contact number are shared with the delivery person assigned to your order so they can complete delivery and coordinate WhatsApp QR payment if selected.
Service providers: we may use trusted local service providers (such as SMS/WhatsApp messaging services) strictly to help operate the app and communicate with you.
Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or government request.

Payments & Cash-on-Delivery Data

Since Modi G Kirana operates only on Cash on Delivery and WhatsApp QR-based payments, no payment card or banking data ever passes through our app or servers. Any UPI payment made by scanning a QR code on WhatsApp is processed entirely within your own UPI app and is governed by that app's and your bank's privacy practices, not ours.

Data Storage & Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to customer data within our team is limited to what is necessary to fulfil orders and provide support. While we work to protect your information, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Your Rights & Choices

You can review and update your name, address and contact details from within the app at any time.
You can contact us to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

You may opt out of non-essential promotional messages by contacting our support team.

Children's Privacy

Modi G Kirana is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old or capable of entering into a binding order for household purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our app and services evolve. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
